8 Rooms (2014) addresses how hypervigilance as a result of trauma affects perception of place. Eight copperplate etchings document how rooms hold histories, confine, and protect.
Byproducts of this project included dozens of state proofs, which became collages. In this stage, the rooms were effectively transformed into landscape, undermining their suggestion of containment and offering a catharsis in response.
